WORLD PREMIERE of Enter the Fish Tank

  • Watts Hall Community Arts 174 Main Street Thomaston, ME, 04861 United States (map)

Join us for the WORLD PREMIERE of this one-of-a-kind multimedia juggling and variety show!

Watts Hall Community Arts is honored to host the world premiere of Enter the Fish Tank, a multimedia juggling and variety show like nothing you've ever seen before! World class performers Steve Corning and Shane Miclon were last at Watts Hall when they performed their family-friendly variety show Double or Nothing to an enthusiastic crowd. We're thrilled to have them back for the premiere of their newest show!

Enter the Fish Tank is a fusion of contemporary juggling, live mixed electronic music, and multimedia wizardry. Steve Corning’s freshly composed soundtrack provides the inspirational blueprint for each of Miclon’s brand new juggling pieces. The duo communicates in real time using music and object manipulation as their respective languages, both reacting and offering suggestions for where to go next. From a never-before-seen juggling apparatus to show-saving AI supercomputers, anything can happen in this unpredictable juggling adventure.

SHAPES: Shane Miclon learned to juggle at the age of five. When he was thirteen he began an apprenticeship with renowned juggling & theater coach Fritz Grobe. His 15-year career has taken him around the globe including performances in Philip Glass' "Akhnaten" at the Metropolitan Opera in New York City. Shane's juggling style incorporates movement that is deeply informed by the natural patterns of the props he interacts with.

SOUNDS: Steve Corning, (aka ThinkFishTank), has been producing electronic music & hip-hop beats for over 10 years. In that time he has released 3 solo albums as well created original content for brands like Coca-Cola, and created scores for international award-winning short films. Steve’s music combines original instrumentation with audio samples of anything from classic film & television to iconic internet memes... and anything that makes a sound is used in his unique creations!

Tickets are $15/advance and $20/door (if available).
