Intro to Theater Lighting Workshop

  • Watts Hall Community Arts 174 Main Street Thomaston, ME, 04861 United States (map)

The Watts Hall Community Players (WHCP) invite the community to step behind the curtain and discover the magic of theatrical lighting with an upcoming training session on Sunday, February 16th, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Watts Hall on Route 1 in Thomaston.

This hands-on workshop, led by WHCP’s technical director, will introduce participants to the basics of theatrical lighting and explore how lighting design can bring actors to life on stage and set the mood for the audience. Participants will also have the opportunity to learn about WHCP’s newly installed lighting board, made possible through the generous support of the Maine Community Foundation’s Maine Theater Fund.

Whether you’re a theater enthusiast, a budding technician, or simply curious about what goes on behind the scenes, this is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable insight into the art and science of stage lighting.
