Don’t miss the Maine debut of this highly acclaimed Off-Broadway Christmas classic!

Maine based KENMARC ENTERTAINMENT in collaboration with BROADWAY ON THE NORTH FORK (New York, NY) is pleased to announce that the highly acclaimed off-Broadway production of "A Christmas Carol" is coming to New England this holiday season. The show will make its New England debut at Watts Hall Community Arts in Thomaston, Maine.

Winner of 9 Broadway World awards (including Best Play and Best Performer), this one-man tour-de-force retelling of the Dickens classic stars Scott H. Severance playing over 20 iconic characters.

Mr. Severance had previously starred as Ebenezer Scrooge in "A Christmas Carol" in 6 National Tours. In 2020 when the Covid-19 pandemic arrived, the show was adapted to a one-man version and ran off-Broadway in Manhattan & Long Island (NY) for three years. You may also recognize Scott from his notable role in the 2005 Farrelly Brothers feature film "Fever Pitch" starring Drew Barrymore, Jimmy Fallon and Jason Spevack, or the film "Clear History" with Larry David & Bill Hader.

There are only TWO chances to see this thrilling twist on a holiday classic in Midcoast Maine: Saturday, December 2nd at 7:00 pm and Sunday, December 3rd at 3:00 pm. Tickets are $28 in advance, and $33 at the door (if available).

FAQs

Q: How is ticketing handled?

A: Ticketing is by general admission. There is no assigned seating - as such, we cannot guarantee that large parties will be seated together, especially if the show is sold out. We recommend arriving when the doors open for the highest likelihood of sitting together.

Q: What time do the doors open?

A: The doors open 1/2 an hour prior to showtime. Doors open at 6:30 for Saturday's show, and at 2:30 for Sunday's.

Q: Is this event family-friendly?

A: This show isn't geared towards children, but it is family-friendly! We'd recommend this show for ages 10+, but all ages are welcome. All patrons, regardless of age, require a ticket.

Q: Is Watts Hall an accessible venue?

A: Yes, it is! While the auditorium is located on the second floor, we do have an ADA-compliant elevator available to anyone who needs it. We also have an accessible restroom. The doorways and hallways are nice and wide to accommodate mobility aids.

Q: Will tickets be available at the door?

A: Maybe. We don't reserve any tickets for door sales and our events often sell out in advance. If you want to guarantee entrance, we recommend purchasing your tickets in advance. We will update our Facebook page regarding the availability of door tickets the day of the event. If door tickets are available, they will be priced at $33/person. We accept cash, cards, and local checks.

Q: Will food and drink be available for purchase?

A: Yes! A cash bar will be provided by our friends at The Block Saloon and a selection of concessions will be available for purchase (concessions are cash only). Please note that possession of outside alcohol is expressly prohibited and will result in immediate expulsion from the event without a refund.

Q: Where should I park?

A: Plenty of free parking is available behind the business block on the side of Rt. 1 opposite Watts Hall.

Q: Who should I talk to if I have any other questions?

A: You can send an email to our Managing Director, Kendray Rodriguez at wattshallcommunityarts@gmail.com
